Not Farewell!

I will update with pictures soon, but I just spent 5 and a half weeks in Sortland with two other AFS students. Now I'm in Evenskjer! I have a new host family. Like I said, pictures soon, but their youngest daughter goes to the same school I went to previously. So I've now resumed my school year at the school that I started at. It's much easier than starting entirely over again. Lots of people thought I went back to the United States! Well... so did I. That's what I was told. Anyway, here I am. Back in Harstad with my friends and same classes. It was kind of nice to have a long break and meet more people.

Farewell!

I can't thank my friends and family enough for their support. You all helped make this possible.
As you may have heard, I'll be returning home shortly.
This was a challenging experience that was so different from my life back home (and similar in unexpected ways).

I lived with a big family instead of a small one. I had 4 brothers instead of no siblings at all. A huge dog instead of a quiet cat.

I got used to the mountains, but never got over them. They were even more beautiful covered in snow, catching the sunlight in their jagged shapes.

Norway was a country of great beauty, it's no wonder their people take such pride in their nature.

I will deeply miss my friends.

I wish I didn't have to leave behind so much, but I'm coming home stronger. I'm coming home after facing many challenges and learning about myself. Learning about willpower and integrity, the importance of sticking to it, and the kindness of friends in a foreign land.

THANK YOU!
